Employment and Skills Hubs in Mid Devon

Through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Mid Devon District Council is supporting the delivery of two Employment and Skills Hubs in Mid Devon.  These are freely available to all Mid Devon residents and are currently planned to run until March 2025. 

The Employment and Skills Hubs can be found in Cullompton and Tiverton Libraries. The Hubs are open both online and for in-person appointments (see below). The Hubs provide in-person, one-to-one support on finding training and career opportunities. This includes help with job seeking, applying to apprenticeships, and accessing additional services to overcome barriers to entering employment or education.

Cullompton - Opening hours: Monday: 9:30-16:30 - Last appointments are half an hour before close.

Tiverton - Opening hours: Friday: 9:30-16:30- Last appointments are half an hour before close.

Anyone over 16 can access the service by booking an appointment online or dropping by the Employment and Skills Hub to speak to an advisor. The advisors will support you for as long as you need to take the next step on your journey into work or training. The programme also offers a limited number of Supported Employment placements for those requiring additional support with sustaining employment. 

Employers can also benefit from the services provided. This includes support with upskilling existing employees, helping employees transition through a restructure or redundancy, and recruiting applicants.
