Drivers
For the safety and protection of the public, to drive a hackney carriage or private hire vehicle in Mid Devon you must hold a valid Hackney Carriage/Private Hire driver licence issued by us. Mid Devon issue dual Hackney Carriage and Private Hire driver licences, this means that once you are licensed you can drive both Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Vehicles.
Full detail on the requirements for drivers can be found within our Hackney Carriage and Private hire policy. Specific attention should be paid to Appendix 3, driver conditions and code of conduct.
