UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)
Through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), Mid Devon District Council is funding a number of initiatives to support our businesses.
Business Support through PROSPER
This FREE business support service is available for Mid Devon pre-start and trading businesses.
The service offers all forms of business support and advice including:
- Businesses looking to grow & adopt new practices
- Green business support
- Start-up support
- Businesses looking to employ staff

Free 12 months membership of FOOD DRINK DEVON
We are working with Food Drink Devon to offer 12 months free or low cost membership for first time Mid Devon food and drink businesses (retailers, hospitality venues and related businesses). Membership benefits include mentoring and support, workshops, training and opportunities to participate in shows and events as well as use of the Food Drink Devon green heart logo.

Support and funding schemes for town centre businesses
LOVE YOUR TOWN CENTRE (current application rounds close on the 31st December)
‘Love Your Town Centre’ offers small grants through a competitive bidding process aimed at improving the town centre and increasing the vibrancy and vitality of our three main markets towns: Crediton, Cullompton and Tiverton. The three schemes are:
Shopfront Enhancement Schemes: Grants of up to £2,500 to help improve shopfronts or signage.
Business Growth (Fit-Out Scheme): Fit-out grants of up to £2,500 to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) / community groups to help bring new commercial, community and leisure opportunities into the town centres.
Digital High Streets: Grants of up to £1,500 to SMEs / community groups to help independent high street retailers, leisure and tourism businesses establish or upgrade e-commerce websites.
Free membership of VISIT MID DEVON
Available to tourism and hospitality businesses, membership offers businesses the opportunity of FREE listing on the Visit Mid Devon website and events calendar, as well as inclusion in promotional campaigns such as school holiday activities and seasonal events plus the opportunity to directly benefit from regional, national and international campaigns of advertising, press and PR.
