Council’s Housing Developments Garner 19 Award Nominations
To date Mid Devon District Council and its two projects at Shapland Place, Tiverton and St Andrews, Cullompton have been shortlisted in a combined total of 19 categories from 7 different awards organisers.
These nominations highlight the Council's commitment to excellence in construction, sustainability, and providing homes for residents. The recognition also showcases the Council's strategic partnership with ZedPods, emphasising their shared commitment to environmental and social governance.
The Council has been shortlisted in a record total of six categories at the Constructing Excellence (SW) Awards 2024. The award ceremony is scheduled for 18 July, where the Council will compete in the following categories:
- Building Project of the Year (St Andrews)
- Client of the Year (Mid Devon District Council)
- Climate Action (St Andrews)
- Environmental, Social, & Governance (Mid Devon District Council and ZedPods on St Andrews)
- Modern Methods of Construction (Shapland Place)
- Residential Project of the Year (St Andrews)
Adding to this impressive list, the St Andrews development has been recently shortlisted for three categories in the Inside Housing Development Awards 2024, which will take place on 27 September. These nominations underscore the project's impact and innovation in housing development.
Furthermore, the Council has previously been recognised by other notable award bodies, including:
- British Construction Industry Awards – two categories
- CN Awards – two categories
- Unlock Net Zero – two categories
- CN Specialist Awards – one category
- Aico Community Awards – three categories
