The consultation period for three planning documents has been extended and new dates for public events have been scheduled giving you a chance to have your say.

Cullompton has a number of exciting proposals which are currently out for consultation. The documents which Mid Devon District Council is consulting on in order to help shape Cullompton’s future are:

Jenny Clifford, Head of Planning, Economy and Regeneration states:

“Our town centres are the heart of our communities and local economies. The documents look to support opportunities for regenerating the town, creating jobs and preserving and enhancing Cullompton’s special architectural and historic interest.”
“However, the way communities use their town centres is changing, which affects the nature of what makes town centres thrive. The three documents will help tackle different challenges and support Cullompton to be an attractive and vibrant town, providing a clear strategy to ensure the town meets its full potential post COVID-19 and into the future”
“The Planning Team has organised a range of methods for the community to take part in the consultation. From face-to-face events to online meetings and surveys, there are a number of ways you can get involved.”

Residents, businesses and groups can help unlock the potential of Cullompton’s town centre and improvement works by taking part in the consultation which is open from 28th June until Friday 13th August 2021. The deadline has been extended from the 9th August to give more time for people to get involved and have their say.
