Your chance to try something new this year at one of the first facilities in Devon to provide pickleball sessions.

A dynamic fusion of tennis, badminton, and ping-ping, pickleball has taken the sports community by storm and is now available for all ages and skill levels in Mid Devon. Played with hard paddles and a lightweight plastic waffle ball, the game is suitable for singles or pairs, indoors or outdoors.

Discover the joy of pickleball at Culm Valley, Cullompton (evenings from 5 pm and weekends) and at Lords Meadow, Crediton (daytimes, evenings, and weekends).

Councillor David Wulff, Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure, said:

“Over the Christmas period, Councillor Luke Taylor and I took part in a spirited pickleball session at Culm Valley. It was great social game to help work off all of the Christmas chocolates.

“Mid Devon Leisure’s offering is a great chance to have fun, with some added fitness benefits in 2024.”

Pickleball offers a fantastic activity for individuals and families alike. Membership is not required and all necessary equipment, including adult and junior paddles are provided.
