The Heart of the South West Growth Hub has provided information to businesses aimed at supporting them to grow or start and operate within the Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay area of South West England.

The Better Business for All (BBfA) partnership has used their knowledge and expertise to bring together resources from trusted organisations to help guide businesses through the main considerations for restarting safely.

A toolkit, which is available on the Growth Hub website, has been developed and includes useful documents such as risk assessment and action plan templates; business checklists, and; useful guides.

The toolkit has been well received by the business community with many positive comments from business leaders and an endorsement from the Federation of Small Businesses, saying ‘it's the best’ they've seen.

Heart of the South West LEP Chair, Karl Tucker, said:

“This is an excellent resource from the award-winning partnership Better Business For All. It provides very thorough and detailed guidance.

“The Heart of the South West economy has been hit hard by the impacts of COVID-19, so it’s important that those businesses that can open are given the support they need to stay safe and resilient.

“This new toolkit has been produced in partnership with the BBFA and our Growth Hub, which is on hand to provide wider business support to any company in Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay.”

Further to the considerations suggested in the toolkit, businesses also encouraged keep up-to-date with current Government guidelines relevant to the control of COVID-19. The Heart of the South West Growth Hub team has specific COVID-19 guidance on their website and are on hand to help businesses in Mid Devon navigate the business support landscape and put you in touch with the right schemes to meet your business needs and aspirations.
