Join the Pirate Party at Tiverton’s ‘Electric Nights’ street food market this Saturday
Tiverton’s August street food market will take place this Saturday and will have a Pirate party theme. The multi award-winning event run at Tiverton Pannier Market hosts a wealth of streetfood, crafts, artisan goods and drinks from across the South West as well as live music and entertainment for the whole family.
August’s event offers a range of culinary delights for people to try from Indonesian curry, German cuisine, Chinese Dim Sum, fish and chips, vegan burgers and so much more! New to the event this month is Guildable Manor – They will be serving up hot rare breed baguettes. For those of you with a sweet tooth we have many desserts stalls including; Churros, flapjacks, ice cream, cakes and award winning fudge!
In keeping with the theme we have sensational Pirate band Jolly Roger – whose origins run deep with the blood of the Pirates of Penzance. We are also joined by one of the UK’s best known and much loved American tribal belly dance troupes – Kalash Tribal.
The brilliant Jacko Sparro returns to our event this weekend to provide two pirate themed children’s shows from 6pm and we will have many market stalls attending, ranging from – homemade pies, artisan chocolate, bath products, crafts, zero waste goods, award winning fudge and more…
Alan Ottey, Town Centre and Market Manager said
“A celebration of what the South West is famous for, Pirates, so come along and enjoy the fun ‘me hearties’. Captain Jack is fun for all ages and the pirate bands make for a great evening. Why not come along with the whole family dressed up as pirates? Fun for all, that’s the aim for the night.
“This has been one of the most popular nights in the last few years of Electric Nights so it will be popular with a wide choice of food and drink and not forgetting the crafts and artisan foods. Hopefully see you all there.”
