A series of public consultation events next week will give residents the opportunity to help shape plans for 70 affordable homes at a site off Uplowman Road, Tiverton.

The events are being held as part of Mid Devon District Council’s proposals to build 62 affordable rent homes and 8 flats at social rent as part of the new Barratt/David Wilson Homes' Braid Park development. The council hopes to submit a planning application for development next month, May 2022.

All those who live and work locally are invited to attend the event, which will offer the opportunity to speak directly with project planners and the development project team to ask questions and explore information about the project in their own time. Feedback forms will be available to complete on the day or can be taken away for further thought and reflection.

Andrew Busby, Corporate Manager for Property, Leisure & Climate Change said:

“Next week’s public consultation events will offer the local community the opportunity to shape proposals for Tiverton.
“This could bring important benefits to the local area by providing much needed affordable homes which play an important role in addressing climate change and rising energy costs.
“We hope residents will join us at any one of these events to find out more about this development.”

You can find out more at three public consultation events, happening next week through the Mid Devon District Council website. These offer the opportunity to have their say on the proposals and to find out more directly from members of the project team.

The events are taking place at Tiverton Golf Club, Post Hill, EX16 4NE:
