Thankfully Mid Devon remains a relatively low crime area, but an opportunist thief may be at work.

We can all help to deter would-be thieves from causing misery to some unfortunate people. By using a fair degree of common sense and by taking simple precautions you can make life more difficult for them.

If you see someone acting suspiciously, don't be afraid to ring 999 and tell the police. Nobody will criticise you if the person or persons you have seen turn out to be genuine.
