BBC’s Escape to the Country presenter
Jules Hudson
Jules is perhaps best known as the leading face on the BBC’s hit property series, Escape to the Country, which he joined in 2007.
His passion for the countryside has also been taken up by the BBC’s flagship rural affairs show Countryfile. His enthusiastic, adaptable and hands on approach allows him to cover a wide range of subjects from science and history to wildlife and current affairs. Jules’s interest in historic buildings and design underpins the BBC’s renovation series, Britain’s Empty Homes which broadcast its second series in spring 2011, whilst his lifelong passion for military history came to the fore in BBC1’s more hit Dig 1940.
Jules’s experience and expertise across history, rural affairs and property, combined with his warm and engaging style have established him as a versatile and popular presenter.

Graham Barton
Graham Barton has sold an estimated quarter of a billion pounds worth of lots in his varied career as an auctioneer ranging from calves to condoms to cottages.
Nowadays he’s a full-time property auctioneer appearing regularly on BBC1’s ‘Homes Under The Hammer’ in his capacity as Senior Auctioneer for Clive Emson Auctioneers’ West Country office.

Electrical safety in the private rented sector with:
NAPIT Business Relationship Director
Ian Halton
With over 15 years of experience in the electrical trade, Ian Halton is an established voice within the industry. Through his role as Business Relationship Director at NAPIT, whom he has worked for since 2010, Ian is responsible for educating Local Authorities across the country on the latest electrical issues.
Prior to working for NAPIT, Ian spent 8 years in the installation sector, with this knowledge now informing his current work with Local Authorities.
Ian will be highlighting the need for landlords to ensure an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is completed by landlords for their properties. EICR's are reinforced by the Home Safety Guidance documents, which encourages landlords to carry out their own visual inspections, not just on electrical items. The legislation also covers, Gas, Solid Fuel, Legionella, Carbon Monoxide, Smoke Alarms and Fire Escapes.
