Affordable housing

Affordable housing in Mid Devon remains in high demand. Increasing affordable housing remains one of the council’s top priorities.

Our current target is to help create 80 new affordable homes per year. After 25 years we are now building affordable homes to add to our current housing stock and working closely in partnership with housing associations, developers, parish councils and the Community Council of Devon to bring about more affordable housing in Mid Devon.

Who can apply for affordable housing, and how? 

Affordable housing is for any eligible person/household who is unable to afford to rent or purchase on the open market. To find out if you're eligible for affordable housing - this includes rented council housing, housing association and shared ownership properties - you need to register on the Devon Home Choice waiting list.
