Landlord Advice and Notifications - Privacy Notice


The personal information we hold


When you complete a landlord event feedback form or contact us for advice you are supplying us with information about whether you would like to be kept informed of events and legislative changes as well as your name, address and contact numbers.


Public Health and Regulatory Services at Mid Devon District Council collect this information.


The data is collected through feedback forms and other correspondence and stored on our system electronically.


Why is it being collected?


The information is used to inform our events, the information and advice we provide to landlords and property owners and consultation on changes to relevant local policies.


It is used to keep you informed of future events and relevant information and to gain feedback from you.


Who is it shared with?


Data may be shared with other council departments or partner agencies. This will be to ensure relevant information is sent to local landlords and property owners from partner agencies.


The information is held securely all ICT systems are accredited to Public Service Network standards. Any correspondence between agencies or departments which contains personal information is sent by encrypted email.


All other information in paper form is scanned to an electronic file as necessary and the paper copy destroyed via confidential waste processes.


How long will you be keeping the personal information for?


We will review with you on an annual basis whether you wish to continue being included in mail outs to receive relevant information. Should you wish to be removed from the list you should notify us as soon as possible so that we can delete your details.
