Libraries Unlimited are hosting a one day shredding service for confidential paperwork at Tiverton Library, which serves as a great reminder to check we are handing personal data in the right way.

GDPR and Data control

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) has been around for some time along with the Data Protection Act 2018, but can be forgotten on the long list of regulations landlords need to comply with.

Please check how the regulations relate to you as you could be at risk of financial penalties or legal action.

What do landlords need to do under GDPR?

According to the The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) individuals and organisations involved in Property management - including the letting of property are likely to need to register with them. We would strongly recommend you check with the ICO and take actions as necessary to ensure you comply.
