Joint Strategy 'Our Shared Coordinates'
- a strategy for the sub region of Mid Devon, Teignbridge, Exeter and East Devon.
A Joint Strategy has been prepared for the area covered by Mid Devon, Teignbridge, Exeter and East Devon. This follows decisions taken by each of the four Councils in 2021 with support from Devon County Council.
The Joint Strategy is a non-statutory document that reflects the ambitions and proposals of existing and emerging Local Plans for the four Councils. It covers a range of strategic planning matters and includes a high-level list of infrastructure matters that have cross-boundary significance for supporting the delivery of planned new homes, jobs, services, transport and other development.
The Joint Strategy will be used by the four Councils as a prospectus to help guide investment and funding across the sub-region, helping us deliver sustainable growth and achieve our ambition to position the area as one of the best places to live and work in the United Kingdom.
The Joint Strategy was approved by the Council’s Cabinet at its meeting on 12th December 2023.
