During the past few years Mid Devon has undertaken several schemes to try and improve the quality of the environment for local residents in the three main towns of Tiverton, Crediton and Cullompton. These have been funded by the Council and various outside organisations, such as Devon County Council, The European Regional Development Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Regional Development Agency to name but a few.

Current schemes:

Completed schemes:

     Tiverton Pannier Market Enhancement Scheme

     Crediton Town Square Scheme

Crediton HERS (Heritage Economic Regeneration Scheme)

Tiverton Enhancement Scheme – Gold Street and the primary retail area

If you would like any information regarding the completed schemes listed above please contact the conservation team on 01884 255255.

There are occasions when smaller local improvement schemes' can be carried out in villages and towns, in conjunction with Devon County Council and/or using Section 106 money or Community Infrastructure Levy money (funding gained from developers to support communities and their facilities). These schemes tend to be more ad hoc and parish-led. To find out more about Section 106 and CIL money that could be available please view the cil s106 document
