What to do next

If you're completely sure your work is permitted development and that you don't need planning permission, you can start your building work. For peace of mind and proof that your building work is lawful you may choose to apply for a Lawful Development Certificate.

If your work does not qualify as permitted development then you must apply for planning permission before going ahead.
