Tiverton Pannier Market is to hold a Nearly New Sale of baby and children’s clothes, toys and accessories next month.

The event, on Sunday 22 August (11am to 2pm), will offer families a simple, eco-friendly way to buy quality, gently-used items at affordable prices.

Jim Bray, the new market manager, said:

“We sense there is strong demand locally for Nearly New Sales, as evidenced by the overwhelming response to our recent poll on Facebook.
“We’re keen to support local families and offer an opportunity to recycle quality baby, children’s and maternity items in good condition.
“If this event is successful, we may look to hold regular sales in future.”

The event is free for buyers and will include a school uniform exchange.

JB’s Café will be open while there will be ice cream, radio-controlled car races, face painting, glitter tattoos and other fun activities for children.

All pitches will be outdoors, under the canopies alongside the main market building.

Sellers should arrive from 10am. It’s £10 per pitch, to include one table and a parking permit. Additional tables are £1 (limited availability).

To secure a prime spot, sellers should book in advance by calling Jim Bray on 07815 791191 or e-mailing him at jbray@middevon.gov.uk. Alternatively, sellers can turn up on the day.

Businesses are also able to have a pitch at £15 (advance booking only).
