Map of NW Cullompton Consultation AreaThe Masterplan Supplementary Planning Document (SDP) for the NW Cullompton urban extension is being revised to reflect the updated policy framework set out in the adopted Mid Devon Local Plan 2013-2033 and to align with three planning permissions already granted.

The existing adopted Masterplan was prepared under the previous Mid Devon Local Plan and is now out of date as it refers to old policies.  In addition, there are three areas of land on the NW Cullompton urban extension that are allocated through the current Local Plan but have not yet been masterplanned.

Masterplans add detail to policies in the Local Plan and set out how the Council expects the development to look, feel and function.  Much of the detail in the existing adopted Masterplan is still relevant and will remain.  However, the revised SPD that we are now consulting on updates all the policy references and requirements, and now includes the three additional areas of land.  The revisions also reflect the details approved by three planning permissions for 600 homes (200 each), primary school, link road, community facilities and open space that have already been granted.

You are now invited to give your comments on the draft Masterplan SPD.
