West Exe to benefit from new look play area
The play area at West Exe Recreation Ground will be closed for approximately one month to allow contractors to carry out a make-over of the community space.
Mid Devon District Council is investing around £75,000 to fund the exciting improvements.
All the existing equipment is due to be replaced and new safety matting will also be installed.
The new equipment is designed to support toddlers to teenagers with improved access to allow inclusive use where possible.
Equipment includes spinners, multi-use play frames, carousels and a variety of swings.
Cllr Dennis Knowles, Cabinet Member for Property Services, said:
“This is a popular park and this new equipment will be a great addition to the area. The images of what the recreation ground will soon look like show a fantastic upgrade to the park, which I am sure will be welcomed by the families and visitors in our community.”
The park will be closed from Monday, 14 September for approximately four weeks.
