First stage consultation
The first stage of the review began with a public consultation which ran from 15 December 2022 until 28 February 2022. Seventy-seven submissions were received from parish councils, local residents and interested groups. All the submissions received are available to view on this page.
The Council’s Electoral Review Committee (ERC) is now evaluating the responses and is in the process of drawing up its draft proposals for the Council’s consideration, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2022.
The Council will publish its draft proposals by 31 July 2022 and invite representatives of interested parties and any other persons/organisations to respond to the draft.
This 2nd Stage of the consultation process will be for a period of two months, after which, the results of the consultation will be considered by the ERC, who shall recommend the extent to which the Council will give effect to the recommendations.
