From December 2018, our Customer Service staff at Phoenix House, Tiverton ceased processing over-the-counter payments.

If you need to make any payments for council services such as housing rent, council tax, business rates, fees and fines, etc., you can pay by debit or credit card using our new self-service portals.

Why won’t I be able to see a Cashier to take my payment?

We appreciate this decision may not have been favourable with the minority of customers who prefer to make regular payments at our cash desks. However, as part of our continued drive to improve efficiency and ensure money is spent on essential services, our staff stopped processing payments manually at our cashier desks. This change saved £24,000 per year, which has been reallocated to providing more cost effective and high quality services to residents and businesses.

Please note: our leisure centres were NOT affected by these changes.

undefinedWhy not pay online or setup a Direct Debit?

Paying online or by Direct Debit for payments such as housing rent, council tax and business rates saves you time and hassle. Visit our Do It Online page or contact us to find out what Direct Debits you can setup and how to go about this.
