Emergency Duty Team (Adult Social Care)

  • Provision of emergency Social care and advice for clients urgently in need out of office hours (not including Torbay and Plymouth). Part of Devon County Council.
  • A generic emergency service responding to social care (both adults and children) which cannot be safely left until the next day.

When a child/young person/family needs something extra, Early Help is the initial response offered by all services in contact with children, young people and families. This builds an understanding to address extra needs and prevent situations from getting more difficult for children and young people.
