SALARY: £37,938 to £40,476
LOCATION: Tiverton
Are you committed to co-ordinating activity aimed at preventing and reducing anti-social behaviour and crime and disorder and improving community safety who would welcome being part of a friendly, very collaborative Public Health service?
As our Specialist Lead for Community Safety and Safeguarding you would be working with a wide range of colleagues across the Council and alongside external partner agencies such as the Police, Safer Devon Partnership and service providers. In doing so, you will support our public sector duties across safeguarding, modern slavery and the East and Mid Devon Community Safety Partnership. This will involve supporting local groups, producing reports, promoting activities and identifying funding opportunities to support this work. You will also work on tackling individual cases of antisocial behaviour alongside our innovative Youth Intervention Panel whilst advising on matters relevant to the role on a reactive and proactive basis.

What we can offer you
- Hybrid Working - which allows employees to combine working from Tiverton and at home.
- Flexi time – this allows employees, in agreement with their line manager, flexible start and finish times. Should employees build hours up (i.e. working more than their contracted hours) these can be used at a later date in agreement with their line manager to a maximum of 20 hours per month (pro rata).
- Generous annual leave – This starts at 26 days and rises to 29 days (plus bank holidays) in line with length of service. (Annual leave listed is pro rata for part time employees.)

- Death in Service - If you are part of the Pension Scheme in operation at the Council and you die whilst in employment with the Council, your next of kin will be entitled to a lump sum payment that is equivalent to three years pay. There is no minimum service level for this to be applicable.
