SALARY: £37,938 to £40,476
LOCATION: TIVERTON & MID DEVON AREA

We are looking to expand our already successful Building Services Team by recruiting an enthusiastic new team member within our commercial team. 

We are looking to employ a new member to the gas technician team, focusing primarily on installation of gas boilers, full central heating systems and hot water systems. As a Gas Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the business to successfully deliver the planned gas programme in resident’s homes across Mid Devon. You will work as part of the Building Services team to deliver a high quality service to our tenants in line with our vision and values.

Applicants will need proven knowledge of gas installations and ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems, a proactive approach to health and safety is essential.

This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

As a Gas Technician your duties will include but are not limited to: 

  • To undertake the installation of new domestic heating systems in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, industry best practice codes and practice and legislation.
  • To undertake the replacement of domestic heating boilers in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, industry best practice codes and practice and legislation.
  • To undertake heating engineering & plumbing duties including reactive repairs, servicing of appliances, installations and associated works.
  • To diagnose faults and diligently undertake all core and other trade works, as instructed, ensuring that the quality of work meets the highest standards and that targets are achieved.

About you: 

  • Proven previous experience as a domestic gas installer.
  • Current Gas Safe qualification including CCN1, CKR1, CENWAT qualifications.
  • Domestic plumbing NVQ 3
  • Ability to work on own initiative with a minimum level of supervision
  • Ability to drive extensively throughout the Mid Devon area
  • Demonstrates the ability and motivation to achieve results
