An opportunity has arisen for an Apprenticeship at Mid Devon District Council working in our Housing Team based in our Old Road depot in Tiverton.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be working within a small but busy office environment. You will be involved in a range of administrative functions such as sorting and opening the post for the council, scanning documents into an electronic workflow system, taking and dealing with calls from tenants and providing administrative support to housing officers, supervisors and surveyors.

The service you will be working in deals with all housing matters such as dealing with new tenancy sign ups, tenancy disputes, tenant feedback, rent enquiries and repairs.  

About You

You will ideally need a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in English and Maths functional skills.

About the Apprenticeship

Within your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to provide a high quality administrative service to the Technical Support and Repairs team.  You will be working to complete the Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship with the training provider MBKB who have just received Outstanding from Ofsted.

The level 3 apprenticeship process will take approximately 16 months to complete and will be supported with on the job and off the job training.  You will have regular contact and access to a tutor virtually and there will also be time spent away from day to day duties to complete coursework and assignments.
