Exe Valley Leisure Centre is a dynamic and community-focused fitness facility committed to delivering engaging, high-quality group exercise classes. Our indoor class programme is a core offering, designed to inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals while having fun.
Do you have a passion for motivating people in a class studio environment? Can you make an exercise class fun, effective, safe and stimulating? We are looking for someone who can bring energy to our class programme. If this sounds like you, and you have the ability to make individuals work hard but come away from the class feeling energised, then we’d love to hear from you. This is a real opportunity to bring your own style to Mid Devon Leisure.
Exercise classes are regularly monitored for improvement but will receive support from the Duty Officer for health and fitness to make the class successful.
All Coaches are expected to be punctual, energetic, and excellent at rapport building and to take onus on making their class successful.
Must hold a level 2 Gym Instructor and a Group Exercise qualification or equivalent. A First Aid certificate would be advantageous but not essential.
It will be an initial 12 week contract with the aim to progressing to permanent if the class is successful.
The Role:
Lead dynamic and effective Zumba classes suitable for various fitness levels.
Develop engaging choreography that aligns with the Zumba® formula and incorporates diverse musical genres.
Ensure participant safety by teaching proper techniques and monitoring class intensity.
Inspire and motivate participants to maintain active and healthy lifestyles.
What We’re Looking For:
A valid Zumba Instructor License, obtained by completing a Zumba Basic 1 Instructor Training course.
Strong knowledge of health, wellness, and nutrition to provide valuable guidance to participants.
Excellent physical stamina and the ability to multitask, as instructors engage in exercises while teaching and talking through routines.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a charismatic and motivating presence.
First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential)
Prior experience in teaching group fitness classes is advantageous but not essential.
