An opportunity has arisen for a full time temporary People Services Office Apprentice based at Mid Devon District Council working in our People Services Team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be working within a small but busy office environment. You will be involved in a range of People Services functions including monitoring the People Services inbox and assisting with employee changes on our system. You would also be working alongside the members of the team gaining insight into Payroll, Human Resources, Health & Safety and Learning & Development.

You will gain experience of using Microsoft applications and general office administration including best practice. The job role and responsibilities will focus on tasks and activities which will support your learning and development as you progress through your apprenticeship.

About You

You will need a GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in English, Maths and functional skills.

About the Apprenticeship

Within your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to provide a high quality Administrative service to the People Services team. You will be working to complete the Business Administration level 3 Apprenticeship.

The level 3 apprenticeship process will take approximately 18 months to complete and will be supported with on the job and off the job training. There will be time spent away from day to day duties to complete coursework and assignments.
