NOTICE OF ELECTION
Mid Devon - Election of a District Councillor and a Town Councillor for the areas listed below

1. Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer, Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6PP on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Thursday 23 May 2024. Outside reception opening hours please ring 01884 255255 and a member of the election team will meet candidates.
Reception hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 9am to 1pm
2. Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6PP, during the times stated above or on the Council's website.
3. If the elections are contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 20 June 2024.
4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 4 June 2024 (for those not already on the electoral register). Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6PP by 5pm on Wednesday 5 June 2024.
6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 12 June 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
7. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6PP by 5pm on Wednesday 12 June 2024.
8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6PP by 5pm on Thursday 20 June 2024.
