Adopted Local Plan Review Evidence Base
The Mid Devon Local Plan Review has been adopted at an extraordinary meeting of the Full Council held on 29th July, see Mid Devon Local Plan Review 2013 to 2033 Adoption Statement. The Mid Devon Local Plan Review 2013-2033 replaces the Core Strategy, AIDPD and Development Management policies that make up the previous Local Plan and are no longer in force.
Evidence Base
National policy requires local planning authorities to ensure that the Local Plan is based on adequate, up-to-date and relevant evidence about the economic, social and environmental characteristics and prospects of the area. Evidence is also needed to support Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs). Below is listed the evidence base for the new Local Plan Review.

Please note that some of the evidence for the current Local Plan has been used for the Local Plan Review and is therefore located under Local Plan Review evidence.

Local Plan Review Evidence Base
The evidence base for the Local Plan Review includes evidence commissioned for the Council and evidence produced in-house. The evidence base for the Local Plan Review also includes some site specific evidence for sites considered as options for development, some of which are proposed to be allocated. Much of the site-specific evidence was commissioned by site promoters and submitted during previous consultations or to accompany planning applications. It has not necessarily been endorsed by the Council.
